After a very successful first season, we’re back season #3  of First Tech Challenge!

FTC is for students in grades 7-12. Students design, build, and program robots and will compete against other teams using a 2 team alliance. Students are given the chance to develop STEM skills and share their journey in a team engineering notebook. They will also see the benefits of collaboration, being innovative, and fierce but friendly competition.

Some positive aspects of this FTC team are:

    • Students will program for both autonomous and teleop modes.

    • Students have to create an engineering notebook. Students put their design ideas in the notebook. At the end of every practice the students write in their notebook about their accomplishments and their challenges.
    • A cap of 15 student members ensures optimal student to mentor ratios

    • Expenses are reasonable, with a fundraising goal of $1,000.

  • Flexible evening practice times means students can still participate in other sports or after school activities
